ADDED INFORMATION: I see from other posters that they are skeptical about the information and link I gave you regarding the surname Diamond. First of all Jewish is a religion, not a nationality. I also checked the immigration records at Ancestry and many of the immigrants in the immigration records came not only from Ireland, but from Greece and Brittain. Diamond is a pretty popular surname. There were over 10,000 Diamonds in the 1930 census alone. The England and Wales Free BMD Birth Index which covers 1837-1983 had 2339 hits.
