Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Since you don't mention what country, I had to assume you are looking in the US. I found 12 entries for Lalu in the social security death index; none for Brigmohan. Are you positive of the spelling?
Ironically, it is easier to find records for dead persons than living persons, to protect privacy. If you want to find your ancestry, you can act as if there is no one living and zoom in on historical records, like death records/certificates, census, cemetery, obituary, wills, deeds, etc.
But you have to start with one person, a date and a place.
