Reminds me of a letter I got once while employed at a genealogical library. It read simply "Dear genolagists [sic], could you tell me about Thomas Barnes. It would be appreciated. Thank you." And that's all it said.

And which Thomas Barnes would that be!? There were at least 800 of them in 19th century England alone. I digress...
