Question:

Geneology question and travel?

do you believe, that someone could possible WANT to explore a certain place...w/ an instinct that their family originated from there?

the reason i'm asking...i've always wanted to go somewhere...so bad that i would literally cry to think about it...

and then i was doing a little quiz the other day where i had to trace back where my family's surname originated from...

and it was the same place..

do you think any of that could be related by instinct...or psychology...i know ppl can inherit past feelings/experiences from other members of their family--like if someone was abused, they're daughter may be insecure about her body by instinct or OCD..., etc...

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I've always wanted to explore eastern France and the Netherlands. The fact that my mom's entire family came from there only makes the anticipation of going there someday that much better. But of course, I already knew they were Lothrigen, so it's not as much of an irony. But if you're drawn to a place and want to find your ancestors there, it's a wonderful coincidence that makes the trip that much more meaningful. I hope you do go and that you enjoy every second of the experience.
