My grandfather?

Some timebetween 1914/1920 my Grandfather left the farm on the elvaston castle estate to travel to Australia with cows, however the cows gave birth to bulls, they wanted hefers for the milk, at that time he told me it buy one get two free for beef cattle, he returned shortly after, when Im not sure.
His name was Charles Alfred Gillingham born 1896 Elvaston derbyshire.

I know this a long shot but does anyone know anything else, he told me very little about the journey, the journey was taken in about 1914/1920.

You can also access info in Australia, I found family In Victoria but I can't remember how. Good luck, its addictive!!!
