Has anybody use genetic genealogy?

I wish to find out what part of the world I am most likely to have come from.......can anybody recommend a UK company?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I did a test for mitochondrial DNA with Oxford Anscestors. It's the company founded by Bryan Sykes, who wrote "The Seven Daughters of Eve". As I remember, it was something like $200 at the time. The results are very vague though, you'll only find where your ancestors along the maternal line likely originated from tens of thousands of years ago. If your are looking for something more recent it apparently requires a more sophisticated test or a larger database than they had.
