Fedewa, or Vedua, or de Vedua

Apparently the name changed at least twice in history, and accoding to one source the family may be from Turin, Italy. We always thought it was German, because the records we once had placed them near Landsfeld with the name Vedua. I have since found information from before 1700 which gives the name "de Vidua" instead of the typical "Vidua" I found from the early 1700s until ca1850 when the name changed to "Fedewa".
