Question:

. . .Huici??

Has any one heard of this last name? or no of any one with it? Esspecially if you live in Spain and no of a man Gerard Huici who died in a car crash in Australia years ago.. Any one know where the history of this name is from?? . . .Thanks..

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Amy, I find two things for you. First, what cyndislist has to say about Australia...

The first goal is to verify when and where he died, death notice possibly, burial place, etc. You need this to see if you cannot locate a death certificate.
When I ran the name in google for Australia, it seems to pull up some Australian email addresses. Relatives? I don't know where you are.
2nd.. here is a rootsweb family file that shows the name of a female Huici, in the early 1800's. She is not as important, as the notes on the page, indicating where they got the info. Appears to be a church record, but maybe you can use that to find a location. Of course, that does not mean Gerard was from that place.. it is a clue to earlier records.

If you are not in Australia, and get stuck completely, email me via my profile. I have a email buddy in that area, and she may have some resources to offer.
I also ran the phrase Huici family spain in google, and find over 500 mentions. Am still browsing. It verifies that there are still persons living in Spain with the name. I would personally suggest that the Austrailia records have priority.. since they may contain a specific locality to focus your search on.
