Use ZABASEARCH in CT, that might find him. Try Robert instead of Bob also. You could also use Classmates.com, that might produce results, but it costs a monthly fee. Easy to forget about it, and they keep charging.

You might also try the Alumni association of the college, the usually know right where any alumni are.
