Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Hey Stargazer,

There is a Bruce Genforum, see the first site. Then there are 434 entries at the Family Search site by LDS. These are great starts. With the clues you can get from these sites, you can get SSA records, Birth, Marriage and Death records too - because you get clues for where and when someone was born, and died.

Do work your Vital Records for You, Dad and Grandpa, then you will have the proof of origin. Birth, Marriage, Death certificates are the best records.

The Searches below bring up hundreds of web sites that will take you a long time to filter through. Build your family tree, and use these as additional research sites.

Family Tree Maker is associated with Genealogy.com, and you might be able to pick up some family tree 'branch' for the Bruce family from that site. That would save you some time if a distant cousin had submitted their research. Most of the other software come with similar deals to ancestry or roots.com sites.
