Question:

Do you know about meanings/origins for these surnames?

I'm looking for information you have personally

Scheele

Morin

Higgs

Henry

Shaughnessy

Herbig

Neiman

Thank you.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Of the names, the following are Irish-Shaughnessy, Neiman and Morin. Scottish and of Clan Donald (MacDonalds) Henry. The rest are German. Clan Donald is the largest of the Highland Clans and is pretty active, you can find out more at http://www.clandonald.usa.org. The Irish names can be checked out through a local Irish Heritage group. I am not sure which clan or county they would be associated with, but they do have tartans associated with them and some do have Clan Associations. I am uncertain as to what kingdom or region the German names come from.
