Question:

What would you do?

My 24th birthday is in a couple weeks. I have never met my biological father. I did some searching and found out his phone number and address when I was 19 and far more gutsy than I am today. I called and he apparently lives with his mother. She was none too friendly and began asking what I wanted him for and what not. I got kinda irritated and just said I am looking up a name that is on my birth certificate and she insisted that his name would not be found on anyones birth certificate. I just politely left my name and number and requested that he just call me back. He never has. My question is, 5 years later should I try again. How should I go about it if I were to attempt another contact??? I think that I deserve to know. I don't even know my mothers side of the family. So, I don't know either side of my heritage and I feel ripped off. What would you do if in the same situation?

I basically just want to tell him, whether he wants to hear it or not that I am doing well. I am happy, healthy, and intelligent. That I work a respectable job and that I have a great future ahead of me. I plan on (if I have the courage to go through with it) send a copy of my birth certificate and a pic of me as a baby and a recent one. The only thing that I want from him is answers...the truth!!!
