Question: I need a good technique to become more flexible to get my splitsDoes someone have any streches or suggestions!?
i am a dancer and have never been flexible!. I would be a good dancer if i could get my splits and a good technique to stretch!. I probably am going to take tumbling classes also and this would really help!I need some stretches,technique,suggestion,ect!.Thanx to anyone who who answers!!! :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

launches, touching toes vertically and sitting down, centre splits against a wall!.

lie flat on ur back, grab ur leg, hold it (bent) stay like that for a while, then stretch it!. try to keep it as close to ur body as possible!. do not hold it at the knee!. repeat with other leg!.

u can do the splits in front of the tv or something so ur mind is off the pain!

centre splits: sit on the floor with ur legs open, and bend forward to try to get ur belly on the floor!. try opening ur legs wider and repeating!. also, reaching out to each foot!. then, if ur flexible enough, roll into the splits from that position!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

warm up before you do your stretching, trust me it doesnt seem like it will help but i never gained any flexibility before i really started warming up like doing plies and lunges and jumps before i stretch and hold your stretch for a minimum of 30 seconds the longer the better :)Www@QuestionHome@Com
