For chinese splits, you sit on the floor and put your feet on the wall as far apart as you can and try to inch them farther apart!. Many karate and gymnastics studios have "handles" mounted low on the wall, so you can pull yourself close!.

For "scissors" splits, you have to split as far as you can and try to go lower--it can help if you have something to hang onto (and to use to pull yourself back up)!. A climbing rope in a gym works, or you can use a chair or even a doorknob (if you practice in a doorway)!.

For vertical splits (head up), practice standing closer and closer to a wall (facing the wall) as you lift one leg as high as you can up the wall!. Or you can wait till you can accomplish the scissor splits and do those on the floor and try to lay your head down to your knee!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Stretch daily, and hold each position for at least 90 seconds!. With 90 seconds you are gaining flexibility daily and ensuring that each time you will be farther down!Www@QuestionHome@Com

stretch everyday!. you can stand against a wall and ask someone to push your leg up, or put your leg on a shelf or some other high place and stretch yourselfWww@QuestionHome@Com
