Question: When you do splits!.!.!.!.!.!?
If you are doing side splits and the foot on your front leg is pointed, should your foot on your back leg be turned out or pointed too!?

also when I stretch out my legs for straddle splits, should I flex or point my feet!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

YOur first leg should be pointed as stated, and the back should be pointed as well, and no sideways, it should be turned down properly

u can never flex ur feet when doing gymnastics,

u always have to point, strech out ur legs so that ur work will look neat and tidy!. so when u do straddle splits, leave them straight and point ur toes ;)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Side splits - both feet should technically be pointed, and the back foot's toes should be touching the floor with your heel up!. In other word, your hip should be down and squared off to the front!.

Straddles - They should be pointed, but when you stretch you can flex!. Technically, they should be pointed!. But if your stretching, i dont think it matters!. Your dance studio, idk!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I can do splitz with my right leg in front, i keep both toes pointed!. I can also do the box spiltz, whilst in the box position i tend to flex my feet to increase the stretch but obviously in front of others!. eg demonstation, exam, etc then toes should be pointed at all times to give it a polished look!

your back foot should be pointed as well!.
also, when you stretch out your legs for straddle splits, you should flex and point them to get a better stretch but when you are actually doing the straddle splits(performance-wise)they are pointed!.

ALWAYS POINT YOUR TOES IN SPLITS!.!.!.in the stradle stretch you can stretch both ways!.!.!.my dance team does them first pointed then flexed feet!. And, keep your leg turned out in the splits so your back knee does not stop your split or rest on the groundWww@QuestionHome@Com

do you mean right and left splits!?
It should be pointed knee facing down for your back leg!.

and for straddle it doesn't matter I usually pointe them becuase it's easier to turn out your legs that wayWww@QuestionHome@Com
