Position:Home>Dancing> How do I, as a dancer, get discovered?Question: How do I, as a dancer, get discovered!? I am a dancer, obviously, and I am extremely passionate at dance!. I've been told I'm talented, but I let people decide for themselves!. (: But, anyway, I want to be discovered BADLY, but there's just one little problem!. I live in a small town in Tennessee!. So how the heck do I get discovered by somebody!?!!?! Please help me, I'm desperate to put myself out there, and to share with the world what I love more than anything to do!. First if you go to a dance studio or if you have a dance teacher, you might want to consult with him/her first!. they could probably give you some advice and some names!. Then what you do is MOVE! or just go on a "vacation" for a little while!. Get some of your friends to go with you!. seriously tell your parents this is you passion and it means more to you than anythig!. if they say no you'll have to sneak out!. Go to a big time city!. then look at all the dance studios and they'll tell you where all the auditions are!. It worked for me!. GOOD LUCK!!! SHAKE WHAT'CHA MOMMA GAVE YA!!!! :DWww@QuestionHome@Com If you want a bigger and better chance of getting discovered you need to move out to a big time city like NYC or LA but first make SURE you have the talent (and experience)!. You can go to open auditions (no agents needed)!. Agents usually help get you in the door b/c they have connections!. If you want an agent find them in the yellow pages or google (beware of scams!) and you'll have to make a resume and get a headshot pic and audition for them!. If they want you they book you and they represent you!. You don't pay them until you get paid for a dancing job they helped you find!. You practice, practice, practice and audition, audition, audition!!!! Remember, you MAY have to go through a lot of rejection but if you believe in yourself and your dream then you'll keep going and never give up! All things are possible!. You know, "So you think you can dance" auditions are going to be in Memphis on March 16th!. GO! (I am!) Good luck!.Www@QuestionHome@Com oo um well maybe you should do like dance courses from famous choryographers:shane sparks, mia michaels, wade robson etc!. thats what im doing in the march break and then maybe when your 18 or however old you are you could try out for so you think you can dance!.
