I did that when I was young hoping to raise my extension!. However, I overdid it and got terrible hip strains, and injured my joints!. If you do very simple leg lifts while sitting on the floor with very light weights, it can help!.

Sit with your legs in front with your back straight and turn out as much as possible and lift your leg without sinking in your back at all!. Try to sit higher with every extension!.

Lying on your stomach do the same lifts, but keep your belly button off the floor which may seem in possible, but it makes you posture amazing when you do arabesque!. Your leg will only come an inch or two off the floor which seems useless, but when you do developes you will be able to push higher!.

Put your leg on something high and stretch!. Then lift your leg off and hold for 15 seconds!. Put it back and stretch more!. Repeat a lot!

Stretch all the time, but be sure to rest!. You can really hurt your hips, like i did, if you over do it!. Be sure to ice after working especially hard or long!. And try heating before class or stretching!.

Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com
