Question: Is it too late to start dance classes!?
I'm 13, in 8th grade and I would love to perform on Broadway one day!. I took dance for 2 years when I was really little, like 3 maybe!? I don't know!.But, most of my friends take dance classes and I would love to start them!. If I start dance I'll probably be in a lower level, because I'm new and I'm not very good at dancing!. Is it too late for me!? I really want to do tap, but I'm afraid I'll be very bad!. I was looking at private classes!. If I take private classes at the dance studio were all my friends dance for a while and then start group class, will that be ok!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

You are still quite young, and I think it's never too late to start dance classes!. I think you are more concerned about your friends being more advanced than you are, but who knows, you may have more ability or talent than them!? The fact that you REALLY want this means that something is pulling you, and this is enough to give it a try, at least!. Perhaps you need to stay away from the classes your friends have joined, as you would be too tempted to compare yourself to them!. Being in another class might help you to concentrate on what you need to do to improve, rather than trying to be "as good" and keep up with friends!.!.!. Believe in yourself, what you want and what you can achieve! Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

you can do anything you set your mind to!. if your passionate about something than dont let a small thing like age get in the way!. if you feel uncomfortable starting out at a lower level than your friends are then i suppose do the private lessons!. but if you feel like your friends could help you, then just go rihgt into that!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

its never too late!. rome wasnt built in a day!. and neither will you!. so dont worry about it!. i've been taking ballet for around 8 years and i still struggle sometimes!.

but the most important part of dance that many people seem to forget these days is that, if this is what you truly want to do and strive to be on Broadway, then go for it and never turn back!. have a true passion for it, unlike most of the professionals that start from age 4Www@QuestionHome@Com

its never to late to dance there are girls in my ballet clas who are 13 or 14 and just started this year they have to work hard and ask questions more often but their getting the hang of it!. if you really want to dance then go for it!. its relly fun and dont compare yourself to your friends because they have been doing it for alot longer than youWww@QuestionHome@Com

your never too old I've been dancing for almost 11 years and some people in my class have only danced for a year or so!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

its never too late to start taking dance lessons i kno plenty of people who started in middle school or high school and picked it up in a heartbeat you just need to feel the beat it just takes like a year to pick most moves completely up usually less time than that!.private lessons might help a lot depending on how suckish you really are at dance i totally kidding but private lessons would totally help you might even be able to do the private lessons and group dance at the same time depending on how quickly you pick it up! i'm completely serious you just need to practice and have lots of determination and will power because everyone knows that if dance was easy they wouldn't call it dance they'd call it like baseball or football!!! =:)Www@QuestionHome@Com

It is never to late to dance!. Most ballerinas start dancing at the age of 3!. I have only been dancing for 1 year and am 12!. The class I am in is mostly 3rd graders!. I read about the first african american soloist dancer for ABT and she did not start dancing until she was 13!. pursue your dream!. Tap dancing is a lot of fun!. If you take privet classes, you should also take at least one other class a week so that way you can meet other people who have the same interests as you!. When I took my first class, all of the girls really were encouraging to me!.

"Do you like to dance!?"
"Yes!."
"Then you were made to dance!."
