I am 24 and I am only 5'3"!. I have been a dancer my whole life and have taught and danced professionally as income while in school!. Some companies have height requirements (i!.e!. The Rockettes, Kirov Ballet) for a unifying effect, but mostly it depends on your skills as a dancer and stage presence!. Everyone has always told me I look so much taller on stage, I often surprise people when I stand next to them and they realize I come to just above their shoulder!. Oh and by the way, I was only 5'1" when I graduated high school, so you've probably still got some growing to do!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Don't worry about your height!. A lot of the girls i dance with are small and it doesn't affect you too much!. The only problem you could possible run into is when trying out for parts!. Some ballet parts at my ballet school require a certain age or height to do the the part!. I have had that happen to me but it didn't matter to me cause i got other really good parts!. Well in ballet some people say you have to be tall to be a ballerina but i say stuff that there are 5 short girls in my class and the shortest is the eldest (17)!. She is only 4!.7ft tall but then some people are like that!. It is fine to be short and do ballet!.

You could be 4ft or 7ft, it wouldn't matter!. All that really matters is the courage, the determination, and the effort!. Your small size could be helpful!. As long as you keep your confidence, you'll shine!.

it will actaully be easier smaller people get more air when i was little did cheer leading and i was small!.!.!.!. and i got the most air when we did jumps so i think ur good!Www@QuestionHome@Com

its spose 2 b easier if u r short (petit)
