don't imitate too hard! (ppl can tell that ur "trying")!.!.!.!.

start off simple!. just wait for a slow dance to come on so that you can learn to feel the music and get your body/mind into the rhythms of the music!. don't think too hard about each move your gonna make!. the more you get comfortable, the better your movements will become and then you'll be able to go crazy on the fast songs!.!.!. sorry i didn't go into much detail, im trying to keep it as short as possible

Listen to the beat and do the first dance move that comes into your head, even if it's jumping or spinning, that's what most people do at parties and most professional dancers do!.
also listen to the tempo - Fast or slow
It really helps to listen and get tied into your own type of dancing

I'm not a really good dancer either, but I try!. A good thing to do is to watch other people dance and try to immitate some of their dance moves!. That'll help you a lot!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
