Don't hold your breath, if you do!. Try to watch for it!. You probably do but you don't notice it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hey!.
I do ballet and I'm in Grade 6 and also do pointe and have to do ALOT of pirouettes!. My teacher is always telling me to spot and leave my head at the front for as long as possible until I get to about 3/4 of the way around and then whip it round and SPOT!. It does really help but I suppose if you're doing it and you're still getting dizzy then just take a break in between a few!. I normally do 4 double-pirouettes or 4 single turn pirouettes and just stand still for a minute with my eyes closed so I don't get really dizzy!.
You know what they say- No Pain, No Gain (that is the stupidest saying ever quoted but oh well!.)
Have fun dancing!

spot your head!. pick a spot on the wall (we use the corner of a doorway in our studio) and focus on that!. don't turn your head until it's absolutely necessary, and when you do you want to get back to looking at that spot right away!. it should be slightly in front of you and as far to the side as possible!.

make sure you're not picking a place behind you; it'll throw your turns off, and you'll end up drifting backwards!. hope this helps!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I usually don't get dizzy with spotting
that's keeping your sight in one specific point for as long as you can and when you turn, immediately return your sight to your point!.it's recommended to make your point in front of you

Spotting is supposed to be the only way to keep yourself from being dizzy while turning(though it isn't very effective)!.

the only other thing i can think of is after you turn do a few chasses across the floor!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Spot!. Its the only way to keep from getting dizzy during ballet class!. However you must be spotting correctly!. Ask your teacher if you are spotting correctly and she/he will be able to help you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
