Question: What daily things can I be doing for a dance tryout!?
i have dance on mondays and thursdays and it would be helpful to know what preps I should be doing and what will actually be at the tryout soooo please help!. the tryouts are in about two or three months
also, I don't know if I Want to do poms or not, so some poms information could help to!Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's an amazing experience, and I highly recommend poms/dance to anyone!. You don't need to have any experience going in!. I didn't and now I'm one of the most flexible on the team!. I've also made so many true friends through dance!. I can't imagine what my life would be like without dance *shudders* lol!.

Some things to prepare would be stretching on your own for 15-30 minutes everyday, or at least every other day!. Work on your splits because depending on whether you are trying out for JV for Varsity, you're going to need those down, and the faster the better :]

If you're still not sure if this is for you, go to youtube and check out some videos of pom teams to see if you'd like to do that!. also, I don't know about your school's team, but mine performs at basketball and football games!. You should go to a game and see what it's all about!. (routine and skills wise)

The best part would probably be competitions!. It's the most amazing feeling I have ever felt!. When I'm dancing on stage it's like nothing else matters!. I would say give it a shot!! :D

Well first of all stretch every single day! If you do you'll be really flexible in two or three months when you have to try out!. Secondly, make sure to practice combinations and routines that you work on in class!. Even just running through them in your head will make them easier to do!. also, practice stage presence,and being comfortable in front of people!. That will help you look more relaxed on stage!.
