A degage would be the action of brushing it through the tendu and off the floor to 45 degrees!. But if you're just doing a slow tendu and then slowly lifting it to 90 degrees then it is called a releve lent!. (This is a rarely used, and rarely known term!.)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Degage- Low lift!. Slightly off the floor!. My dance teacher used to say no higher than the space needed for a little kitty to run under!.

Or if its a high leg its:

Grand battlement- or a high kick!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Degage or jete, depending on the school!. And it's tendu, lol!.

EDIT: ah, I thought I might clarify the pronounciation!. Degage = deh-gah-jeh; Jete = jeh-tayWww@QuestionHome@Com

It is a Degage!.
Pronounced= Deg a jay!.
It is a good stretch!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i would say its most likely a battement tendu!.because pointe tendu is with the toe touching the floor but you said you were lifting so probably battement=]Www@QuestionHome@Com

French school- Degage (pronounced day-ga-zhay)
Russian school- Battement Tendu (pronounced bat-man tahn-doo)Www@QuestionHome@Com

it is called a temps-lier and usually has a chasse beforehand this is what i think you are describingWww@QuestionHome@Com

Degage, but only if you lift it 2-6 inches off the ground!. If you lift it knee- hight or higher it is a batte-mante!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
