Latin shoes usually come in three colours; black, flesh or tan!. The most popular colour is flesh, for two reasons, one, it makes your legs look longer and gives you a cleaner line, which is pretty important in latin, and two, it goes with any dress colour (black shoes only look good with black or dark coloured dresses, and in competitons you want to be wearing bright/fluro colours to stand out)!. If you ever go to a competition and take a look at the top level competitors, it's pretty unusual to see people wearing black shoes, except for when they're doing exhibition dances!. So, my advice would be to get flesh coloured shoes, because they're more versatile, and they'll help in giving you cleaner lines!. also, try to get a decent brand like Supadance, Dance Naturals or Ray Rose!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I have a tan/coral pair that go well with black, brown, red, etc!. They're nice to match or contrast outfits!.

I think either of those are a diverse choice!.
also, make sure they're real ballroom shoes with leather bottoms!. It's worth it!.

If you start competing then you will change your costume often and you will become proficient at changing the colour using dye!. A good shoe maker will be able to help you!. If you tend to like dark colours then go for black, if you tend to like lighter colours then a light tan is best!. Then again what is your favourite colour, select the style of shoe that you like best, find out the colour options, if it is your favourite, then you are all set!. If none of them are your favourite, then discuss with a shoe maker/repairer will be able to tell you the best colour to pick if you decide to dye it to your favourite!.

Enjoy your dancing, and all the positive benefits that you will get!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you look around, I think you'll find the nude/tan is most popular among the ladies!. It lengthens the lines when the shoes are about the same color as the legs, and that takes some priority over the normal social conventions of matching to dresses!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Tan!? That seems to be a very common neutral colored shoe amongst professional dancers!. If worst comes to worst settle for black!.
