Question: Is there a college in the US, that has a dance program that you don't have to audition to attend!?
I want to get my bachelor's in dance management, but two colleges that I know of you have to audition!. What's wrong with that!? Well I haven't danced in 2 years!. I just want to go to a college that you don't have to audition for!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

There are many college dance programs that don't require an audition!. However, that's not to say that many of those programs offer an Arts Administration concentration with a focus on dance management*!. But since most of the non-audition programs are the ones that offer B!.A!. degrees (more academics/less dance compared with BFA degrees), you can probably double major in dance and business, or some combination of each (e!.g!. major in dance and minor in business)!.

You should really get hold of the print edition of the Dance Magazine College Guide to read up on your options:
http://dancemedia!.k-online!.biz/cgi-bin/E!.!.!.

But in the mean time, check out Dance Magazine's online search engine for college dance programs:
http://www!.dancemagazine!.com/thecollegeg!.!.!.

The search engine isn't perfect, because if you leave the boxes for "Auditions Required!?" unchecked, you still get a bunch of programs that still require an audition for admission!. But if you check B!.A!. or B!.S!. "Degree options" (as well as select "United States" for the country), you'll still get a list of a lot of programs in which most of them will not require an audition!. Click on the college names to bring up more details to confirm whether an audition is needed or not!.

* When I tested the search feature, it brought up Butler University, which has an excellent B!.S!. in Dance-Arts Administration program, but I know that you have to audition to get into that one!.
