We had a ballet recital just a month ago and she did FANTASTIC and tomorrow is their jazz routine!. Well what you have to do is make them dance in front of audiences more!. I understand your concert is soon, but you really have to let your pupils dance in front of more audiences!.

For example, let your pupils all form a circle, but make sure you're in it too!. Put on their favourite music, or even familiar pop songs they might listen to or any children's songs they might like!. Start off by standing as part of the circle and when the music starts, go into the middle of the circle and do one dance move which is either easy or familiar with your students!. Move back to be part of the circle and ask if anyone wants to volunteer to go next or tell the pupil standing next to you to go into the circle and do a different dance move!. The next does the same until all have done one dance move inside the circle!. If any of your students get stage fright or cannot think of a dance move, go into the circle with them and do a move for them!. Tell them to copy you!.

Another good thing to do is to, when you have taught them a routine or a small part of the concert, at the end of every lesson, tell them to get into groups of three or five and perform the routine they have learnt that day in front of the class!. You may want to stand in front of them and also perform if you think they need help, otherwise just watch each group perform one after the other!. Then you will know which pupils know the routine and which need practice!.

You could also get a pupil to perhaps take a part of the warm up if you think they are responsible enough, as that will give them experience in leadership and teaching while building confidence!.

Make sure they have their parts correct for their performance, which you can make sure in the "performing in groups at the end of the class" idea!.

Give them support, and reward them when they get their performances correct!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i was gonna suggesting blindfold her but that probably won't work, keep telling her "you can do it" until she does it

she has to overcome that herself Www@QuestionHome@Com

i think when they're perfoming, seat in the first row where they can see you and tell them to look at u when they get stuck, keep smiling and stuff and eventually they wont get scared!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
