I started pointe at the age of 15!. However, I had a year and a half of solid ballet training behind me, as i was a late starter!. You can not just start pointe, you need many intensive ballet lessons on flat over a number of years before you start!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I started pointe at 14!. At my dance studio you must be done growing before you start pointe or have extensive ballet training and strong feet and ankles!. If you start pointe too young, injuries will be begin to show up later in life!. Most dancers are ready to start at 14 or 15, but if you're teacher says you're not ready then wait!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Prob!. not too many people started at 14 or 15 because that is almost too late to start pointe in most cases!. Normally girls start around the ages of 11 or 12 after at least a year and a half solid ballet training to build muscles and technique!. i personally, started at about 11!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

My older sister is now 20, but she didnt start ballet until she was 15/16 and went on pointe at 17!. So, no, but you can start later and be very good!. She now goes to school for dance and teaches dance!.

i didn't because i'd dreamed of it since my first class when i was 5!. after 7 years at the same studio, I started at 12, but several of my friends did start around 14 or 15!. i know of one who just started at 17!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

omg i turn 12 on january 10 2009 reneesme and i started pointe at age 11 (current age) but my mom started at 11 age 14 and went until age 17Www@QuestionHome@Com

14 and 15 isnt too late to start pointe but most people start roughly around the age of 11 or 12!.!.!.
