Question: I want to try ballet!?
Hi everyone,
at my university every student must take some kind of sport during at least 2 semesters!. There are various options and ballet for beginners is one of them!. Id like to ask wether you think it wont be stupid if I give it a try if im 21 years old and also a bit overweight but im quite flexible and can perform stretches better than my friends of the same age!. This class is nothing serious i think, most professors understand we are doing sports just because we sit too much during studying and the only goal is to move in some way :-D so id like to hear your opinion wether you think i should try it or do something different!. Thanks :-)Www@QuestionHome@Com

I am a classically trained dancer, having began dance at age 6!.!.took classes all through school!.!.!.and then taught for a few years!.!.!.
I can tell you, from my point-of-view, that you are NEVER too old (or too young) to try out different forms of dance!.!.!.ballet is VERY disciplined!.!.and for someone flexible, could be right up your alley!.!.!.the stretches are wonderful, and really gets your joints and muscles loosened up!.!.!.(I now sit at a desk all day!.!.and greatly benefit from the stretches I learned years ago)!.!.!.toned up!.!.!.and the blood pumping!.!.!.!.
if they also offer jazz, tap or something like that, you may find it more "fun" than ballet!.!.!.
However, I say Go for it, girl!
