How do you teach Cha Cha to total Beginners?

Question: How do you teach Cha Cha to total Beginners!?

At my school we have been set a project to teach the class for 1 hour on a chosen style of dance!. As i am an advanced latin american dancer with my outside of school dance classes i thought i would pick the cha cha to teach!. Its also one of the easiest latin dances!.

But the people in my school dance class have never taken latin classes so will be total beginners!. Have you any tips on teaching beginners to cha cha!.

if your an advanced latin dancer then you would have learnt somehow!. either teach how you were taught, because you know it works!. or seperate male and female, go thru sequence 1, 2 ect then bring them together!. dont forget to rotate partners often so they get to have a dance with everyone!. or since its just a school thing, why dont you make up a progressive chacha routine, not the norm i know, but hey!.!. they wont know, and it will be funWww@QuestionHome@Com

Start at the beginning!. Teach the first step,
practice it!. Go to the next move, practice
that!. Do each move this way until the
