Question: Could I take up dance (eg!. Jazz) at 15!?
could i start, say Jazz, or something at 15!? Is that too late!? I really want to learn how to dance but never had much of a chance!. All my friends that do dancing have done it their whole lives and are SUPER flexible!. I'm going to take pilates classes to try and become more flexible soon!. answers please :) all appreciatedWww@QuestionHome@Com

GO FOR IT!!! I was 12 when i started and all the girls in my class had been dancing since thet were about 3! At first I felt really behind becasue they were all really flexible and super stong!. I worked really hard and took every class that my studio offered for 12 year olds!. I also took 2 hours of solo classes a week, This really helped because the teacher was able to work with me one one one and i really improved! I also worked really hard outside of the studio and still do to this day!. Now I'm 15, and I am on my studio's competition team and am placing really well!. I am as good as (or slightly better than) all the girls at my age level!.

Danc takes determination! If you work reallly hard inside and outside the studio you will progress really well!. Don't get frustrated at first, but keep going! set yourself reachable goals and work toward them!. Ask your instructor for some ideas about goals nad how you can reach them!. Meeting with your instructor(s) individually is your best friend!. If this means taking an hour or two of private lessons a week, do so!. also, stretch every night, and work on core strength as well!. Both will help you in dance!. Of course you can!. I do dance and i'm soo inflexible but stretching regularly really helps!.

If you want to be successful in Jazz [or any other dance] definitely start Ballet!. And remember to try stretching every night to improve your flexibility =]

It's never too late to try something!.
Take all the opportunities that comes in your way!.
So go for it and don't let anything stop you,before you know it,you're already flexible like them too!.

start taking classes!.
stretch every night!.
sit in your splits for a few minutes!.


and try going to a technique class!.
so that can improve!.

jazz is thee best!.

oh and if you started ballet it helps alot!.
