Question: What are some good stretches to learn how to do the splits!?
I am in dance and I really need to learn how to do the splits!. Please help! I know it will take a while!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm in gymnastics and I use to get so jealous of the girls that were more flexible then me!. So really, the best way to become more flexible is to do the actual splits and push (even if it hurts)!. The best way is to push yourself!. Its also the fastest way!. What I did was watch TV while doing the splits for at least 2 minutes (on each leg)!. Practice too!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You can't 'learn' it!. You have to practices a lot!. I do ballet and I have to do them everyday just to get down!. You should also do other types of stretches besides the splits, like touching your toes!. Do many different methods to help, you get down!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

you just do it

but if you cant do them all the way theres a machine you sit in and it streches your legs apart in the splits position you do it slowly but it works i used one i marshelarts training so i could kick people in the face without jumpingWww@QuestionHome@Com

lay on your back and take a dish rag and wrap it around your arch in your foot!. Then use the rag to pull back your leg towards your body while you're laying down!. Make sure to keep you leg straight though!.
