This is what we do in my ballet class!. First we do barre excercise for about a half an hour!.!.(we have an hour and 1/2 class) We do plies (first, second, fourth and fifth) demi and grand ,tendus,degages,frappes, rond de jambe a terre, rond de jambe en l'air, grand battement!. My teacher also adds in attitudes, arabesques, penchee, port de bras!. Then we do a barre stretch, which stretches our legs, and back!. Then we do a floor stretch!. Then we go in the center and do an adagio!. Then we do pirouette combinations!. Then we go to the corner and do different combinations across the room!. Like pique turns, fouettes, pirouettes, sissone, saute de basque, pas de chat, brise, grand jete, glissade, arabesque turn, attitude turn, assemble, balance Then we go to the center again and do jumps!. Like brise vole, echappe sur les pointe, echappe saute, entrechat!. Thats usually what we do in our ballet class!.

Ballet is an excellent dance form because you use it in a lot of other forms of dance as well!. When I'm in ballet class this is usually what we do:
we go to the bar and do our five positions with demi-pliets and grande pliets!.!.!.and we relieve and sut-nu and turn around to do the other side
then we do our tandu's to the bar!.!.!.!.
we then practice some ballet combinations, and ballet turns, etc!.
and thats pretty much it
you are just told to do certain things relating to ballet, where you need to be very strong and learn how to control!.

well in my ballet class
first we stretch even if the teacher's not here we stretch on barres on the floor and etc!.
Then we do excercises on the barres wen teacher is here such plies, demi plie , dégagés, frappés and tendus relevés etc!.
then we do floor excercises such as doing our splits and everything, practice our dance for recital, all types of movements without barres like balance!.
After all that we put on our pointe shoes, This depends what gr ur in and ur level and ur technique and how old u r!.

i take ballet and also do many other dance forms!. ballet is an excellent place to start because it is the core of all other dance forms (even hip hop)!.
at my class we usually stretch while the teacher goes over any announcements!. then we go to the barre and do a few simple combinations!. then we will go to the center and work on turns or jumps!. usually we will learn a few new steps each class too!. ballet is not that strenuous during classes!.
my favorite part is when i'm dancing other dance forms, someone will say something like "pique then sashe tour-jete and contract" or something and i will know exactly what they mean!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Mainly you r told to behave and try your best!. The great thing about ballet is that if you cant get you leg high enough or if you cant master a step, if you keep trying, you'll get there eventually !.i have been dancing ballet 4 9 yrs so this advice comes from experiece Www@QuestionHome@Com

i have my grade 5 exam soon so i go over the exam and techniques and get better at pointe!.
