Question: Help With The Splits Please!!!!?
Hello! I've been in dance training for about 2 months now!. I've definitely seen a big improvement in my flexibility, so I'm happy about that! :)

Today I stretched hard! And i almost got into the front splits! I was so close!.!.!.but i'm still not there yet! Can anyone give me any tips or tricks on how to do the splits without killing myself!

also the side splits!.!.!.I REALLY need to work on that if i want to join the dance team!

Here's a trick that worked for my sister and it's easy to do and you don't need any special equipment for it either!.

Find a wall that has enough space for you to spread your legs out into center splits!. Face the wall, put your back on the floor with your butt against the wall and take your legs and spread them open into center splits (as far as you can go)!. Use your hands to pull your legs down and make remember to make sure that your butt is staying against the wall!. Then, lift your back up off the floor every so often just to give yourself that extra bit of stretch!.

*Disclaimer: Don't do this for too too long because if you do, the blood will rush down your legs after a while and make them feel kind of weird so you'll have to take breaks to shake them out before going back into it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

one way to help splits is to do single leg stretches!.
lay with your back on the ground, keep your left leg strait on the ground right in front of you and pull your right leg up make sure your hips are even and your legs are both strait!. then do the same with your right leg on the ground and your left leg up!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

i've been dancing for a really long time now!.!.!. and one thing i've learned is that you can not force your splits!.
usually if you continually stretch a little each day you will be able to get farther down to the ground!.!.!. but you have to be really careful about hurting yourself!.
straddles help A LOT!. as for side splits!.!.!. idk:(

But!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.make sure both legs are always straight and try holding your splits for a minute or two!. its painful, but will work
