Question: Ballerinas: help with stiff ankles!?
So, I have been taking ballet for two completed years (working on third) and am still in slippers!. Unfortunately, my ankles are really stiff and will only bend an inch or two!. Obviously, this makes plies very difficult!. How can I make them more flexible!? Thanx!Www@QuestionHome@Com

My advice to you is to roll your ankles whenever your sitting down or laying down!. That will stretch them and help their mobility!. One stetch we use in pointe but you can still do it with slippers is taking your foot and cross it in front of your other leg and plie into it!. That really helps!. Good luck and i hope i helped =]!Www@QuestionHome@Com
My mother is a ballet teacher and she told me to lie on my back, or even sit down, cross one leg over the other, and write the alphabet!. In cursive!. Do it with each foot!. It really helps!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
