to practice spotting, pick an object that's slightly above eye level (a picture, poster, or any item on a wall or whatever)!. then, facing it, begin to turn your body(not on your toes; just flat-footed in place) while keeping your head facing the object!. keep turning and facing the object until your head can go no further!. quickly, snap your head around, facing the object again, all while continuously turning slowly!. practice this A LOT and it will help you so much! when you do chaines across the floor, do the same thing, picking an object slightly above eye level and keep looking at it while you turn!. with some practice and a good effort, your turns should improve!. good luck! Spotting was really hard for me, but a exercise that really helped me was standing in front of the TV and start to turn my body around without moving the head until I can't go no further, then I turned my head as fast as I can to the TV again and finish the turn of my body till im completely in front of the TV again!.
Try it at first is kinda complicated, but then it just flows naturally!. 4 months it's soon to get it done, so don't get stressed just keep practicing and you'll make it!

Okay, this is what my teacher has had me do to improve my rather pathetic spotting!. Recruit a friend and have her stand at the other end of a room long enough to do at least three chaines!. While you chaine, have them hold up the fingers of one hand!. The idea is for you to tell them how many fingers they are holding up while turning!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Just practice, practice, practice!. Find a spinning chair and turn yourself in it and try to spot!. Or just stand up and turn yourself in a circle slowly and attempt spotting!. Just keep practicing, it will become second nature eventually!. Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

well you should just ttry your hardest to spot, but if you really really cant just keep practicing it at home!. you dont have to do your turns just practice like spinning around while spotting, then add your chaine in there!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
