If you went for a darker shade of purple, or a lighter shade of purple (one you KNOW will be different) it might not look so funny!. Then you should try and match the tutu with some shiny fabric, and sew this onto the front of the leotard in a pattern/ whatever you want!. This will make the two match well!.

Or you could get a white tutu!. You then may like to buy some purple flowers / purple gauze fabric to make an overlay / decorations for the tutu!. This will make the tut and leotard match!. You could do the same with a black tutu!.

You do not want to buy a red, yellow, green, blue, pink or any other colour tutu besides white, black dark purple or light purple!. It would look totally strange!.

You also definitely need to match the tutu and leotard together!. It will look strange to have a plain leotard and a plain tut do not match each other at all! Like I said, buy some fake flowers the same colour as the leotard, and sew them to the tutu to make it match!. Or but some fabric the same colour as the ttu and sew it to the front panel of the leotard!. Or buy some gauze the same colour as the leotard and sew it above the tutu to make an overlay!. Or do all three of these things! Just something to make them match each other!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think it'd be dull to have a leotard and a tutu the same color, especially in purple!. Contrast is more interesting!. Purple is a strong color that's hard to blend!. White is safe with it and looks noble!. Some grays can work too!. Black is all right but dull with it!. Pink or lilac would look good with it and have contrast to make the outfit interesting!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You can never go far wrong with classic black, the plus of that too is that if you ever got another leotard in future, black goes with everything!

It also depends how brightly coloured you want to be though!.!.blues, pinks and reds work well with purple too!.

I agree with you about not going for purple though, as I do think it would look a bit odd if it didn't match!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Black or white are usually fairly neutral colours when you have bold colours to start with!. The only other alternative is a purple tutu, but make sure you get the same shade of purple, otherwise it'll look weird!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Purple, white, black, lilac, pink; all will go with your purple leotard!.

How about a white or lilac under tutu with the same color purple as a top layer!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

White!.!.!.!.purple is quite an extreme colour!.!.!.black would also look nice!.!.!.but purple doesn't really go with a lot except maybe another shade of purple which would be too much!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'd say either black or white, but if your leotard is quite a dark purple then lilac would look nice and wouldn't clash!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
