Question: Do girls have to start Ballet before the age of 12!?

I was on a website and it said girls should satrt ballet before the age of 12 and boys 14!.I started Ballet this year at 13!.Will I be really useless and never be able to dance!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Maybe to be a world-famous prima ballerina, but just to dance, no!. You will just have to work to keep up and do your best!. Really, it's talent not age that counts!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You are never too old or too young to begin ballet!. All you have to do is be dedicated to ballet, and patient!. If you work as hard as a person who has been doing it for five years would, then you can earn just as much respect for yourself!. You can always pick up ballet if you are serious about progressing!. not at all as long as you practice!. i started at 15 and am really glad i did!. if you enjoy it, you should do it just because you love it!. also, the more effort you put into it, the faster you'll catch up so just work really hard and you'll catch up to where you should be sooner!. age means very little in comparison to skill, technique, passion, etc!.

At one year late you're a little bit of a late starter, you'll just have to work a little harder to catch up!. Your own talent will dictate whether or not you are able to dance!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You don't have to start at any certain age!. Some of the most talented dancers I know have started at much later than 13!. Just work hard and stay in class!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
