It has nothing to do with weight and everything to do with the physical shape of your body! MAINLY ANKLES! Try stretching out your ankles by pointing your toes as hard as you can for five to ten seconds then flexing your foot back and repeating!.
also, I was told to go upstairs by placing only the upper balls of my feet on the stair whilst stepping tip toe, slowly!. Hope it helps! Www@QuestionHome@Com

absolutely not!.
the feet are stronger if you are heavier, therefore able to support your body weight!.

pointe is just as easy for heavy people than it is for light people!.

the one thing to consider is if you have flat feet!. the flatter your feet are, the harder it is to go on pointe!. if you're heavy and have a nice arch, you'll be just fine!.

weight has nothing to do with it, it's all about balance and arches!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

no, ive been doing pointe for 2 years and ive known some really good taller dancers!. because their feet are usually bigger, it ballences some of the weight!. i am not a tall or overweight dancer, but i have talked to some of my taller friends and they say that it doesnt feel hard!. hope this helps! :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Don't worry!.!.!.it has nothing to do with weight!. Its all about the strenght in your legs, feet, and especially ankles!. The thinnest girl in my class has the most trouble because her ankles are very very weak!. Good luck with your pointe!! =DWww@QuestionHome@Com

Not usually!. Even the leanest of dancers can have trouble doing pointe! It's the technique and training and strength that count more than weight!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

nope because in order to go en pointe, we need strong ankles!.!.!.

so it isn't true!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
