it's very possible :]
pros: the carpet does not hurt as much when you collapse, and it cushions your body parts as you do the windmill which could be more comfortable!.
cons: more friction, making it a little harder to spin on slide when doing the windmill so you would need more force!. also there is possible chance of burning yourself :]
