Question: I'm already super flexible EXCEPT!.!.!.!?
my center/middle splits!! ughh, it's horrible!! lol!. anyways how can i become more flexible to do my center splits!?!?
i'm looking for stretches or tips :)

I had the same problem for a while, if you asked me to lift my leg over my head, up it would go!. If a teacher said, go into your right splits and stretch back, my back would be on my butt- but I COULD NOT do the center splits!. It was really hard for me, especially since it hurt me to stretch in the middle!. A few good things to do are this: Lie on your back with your bum up against the wall, and open your legs, keeping them on the wall!. Bring them down as far as you can, and hold it for about 5 minutes!. This will hurt!. Another thing to do is forget the wall and just lie on your back and open your legs!. Then raise up and hold your legs down, your stomach will be in kind of a crunch position!. also, go as far as you can into the middle splits, and put your stomach as close as it can get to the floor!. Then try to roll through, and when you get to the middle, hold it!. It'll look like your doing the splits, but your legs will be off the ground a bit, and you'll lean forward!. Basically roll thorugh and hold it before you get back on the floor on your stomach!. Therabands are also great things, but I'm afraid that I would explain to you wrongly, and you would hurt yourself, lol!. The important thing is to do it 5 or 10 minutes a day!. Lots of committment!. Stretch your legs against the wall in a split and push as hard as you can to stretch them!. Once you feel a good stretch, grab a book and stay there for a few minutes every night while you read!.
Each leg needs to be flexible, so make sure your right and left splits are good too!. Do the same thing for them, just stay in a split as far as you can go for a few minutes!. Then come out of it and shake your legs out, then go right back into it!. You'll be much closer than you were before with less pain!. Make sure to stretch every night!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

well the frog strech helps our ur middle splits a lot!.!. just lay on your stomach and put your feet together in a diamond shape behind you!.!. try and get your feet as close as possible to your body, they should be touching the floor though and dont let ur butt stick up!.!. you could also try the old fashion way, just slide down as far as you can and have somebody push you down!.!. (warning though, if you arnt streched right and they push too hard you could rip or tear something so i would not really recomend this method unless your desperate)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Oh you are like me! I am also very flexible but somehow cant get a middle split either!. You know what to do, Sit against the wall in a straddle position(wide second) and push until you feel a stretch!. (However, dont push too far)!. I also do frog positions where you lay down on your stomach and just stay there for about 5-10 minutes!.(To know if this stretch in particular is working, it will hurt- trust me!!) Lastly, you can try ipening out your hip sockets by bouncing your legs up and down in sitting positions where your heels are together and your hands are on your ankles!.

Sit down, with your back straight, neck long!. Spread your legs as far apart as possible!. Now, take your left arm and put it over your head, reaching for your toes on your right foot!. Keep for 5 seconds!. Put hands back in middle!. Now, take your right arm and put it over your head, reaching for your toes on your left foot!.

try laying against a wall with your legs open into like a straddle on the wall!. it forces your legs down and makes you more and more flexible to do the center splits!. you just have to keep doing it!. My center splits used to be horrible but know i can get all the way down!. good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

i just got mine
last year! sit in straddle,
lift your self off and slide your
body forward but don't touch
your chest to the floor!.

- do wall splits
- do your stradle and lift into the splits and hold
