I would recommend looking at a general lesson plan and teaching practices like those I've listed from my site below:
http://www!.middleeasterndance!.net/Teachi!.!.!.
http://www!.middleeasterndance!.net/Beginn!.!.!.

For your situation I'd recommend a 5 minute warm-up and stretching session followed by 20 minutes of actual instruction with another 5 minute cool down!. For you I'd also recommend focusing on stretches and warm-up's that will focus on the area your going to be using for the lesson!. Generally you should spend a minimum of 5 minutes per movement when teaching something!. It's often better to do 10 minutes per move though, especially for beginners!. You will continually need to stress posture to beginners as well as correct poor posture!.

I would recommend making up some sheets for anyone who's going to participate that includes an outline of how your class will be run (again look to my beginners outline if you need help)!. Additionally you may want to give them some resources such as addresses of any local vendors/shops that carry supplies (costumes, music, etc!.!.!.)!. also include on-line resources with sites that include supplemental material like:

You may want to include some online vendors as well so they can purchase music, costumes, and accessories!.
Another great thing to include is if there are any local restaurants with dancers or local dance events!.
Advice for teaching!.!.!. remain as professional as possible!. They may be peers and classmates now but you will need to maintain a level of professionalism that goes above that!. Otherwise you will lose authority and likely have problems!.
You could also talk to your school administration about starting a bellydance club which will also give you a specific room at your school as well as mention among any school publications so that others who are interested will have a chance to join as well!. For a 30 minute class you will not have a lot of time for other supplements such as showing quality video performances but you might want to recommend some if you know them!. You will also be asked a lot of questions on history, styles, and other stuff so you'll want to bone up on!.!.!. EVERYTHING!Www@QuestionHome@Com

You can go to the local park, if they have a public use facility area such as a stage or a wooded platform space you can use it with permission!. If you are to use a public domain, you can not charge your students!.!. it would be illegal!. Or the local high school gym and community college!.!. that's if you know someone attending the schools or ask for permission!. Or if one of your classmates has a large private deck at home that could be useful!.!. a mirror would only be found at a ballet/community center/ or dance studio!.!. good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com
