Why can't I dance like them!!?

Question: Why can't I dance like them!!!?

Today we were learning a routine and my instructor was going so fast, I think I was one of the few people in the class that didn't understand!. I don't know how to absorbe all the steps, I see them and try to memorize them but they never come out right, how can i learn the steps faster!!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

I have the same problem (or I did since I don't do other peoples choreographies much anymore)!. What I always did was to sit it out the first time and just write down all the steps, combos, transitions, timing, etc!.!.!. and then (we would usually run through something at least three times) after I had all the notes down I would follow along!. Then I had practiced it a few times and had notes!. When I go home I have my notes to practice with and don't have to rely on my poor faulty memory!. Some people have success with videotaping either the teacher, class, or another student (with permission(s) of course)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i'm exactly like you!. it just takes me more time to memorize the steps fully!. i usually befriend someone in my class and ask them for help!.!.or if you want to get creative, ask them to do the dance while you record them with your camera!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
