Question: I'm so confused! Should I get Gaynor Minden or Bloch pointe shoes!?!!?
I've only just started going en pointe but I have had a bad experience with a Sansha pointe shoe which was too tight and gave me bunions so I am going to get a new pointe shoe!. I live in Singapore so GMs are only available via online payment!. Trouble is, I don't know whether to get a Gaynor Minden by buying online (which will be very expensive) or a Bloch (much cheaper) in town! Other than bunions on both feet, my 2nd and 3rd toes are longer than my big toes!. I am determined to get a pointe shoe which will fit perfectly and last long!.
also, I'm afraid that my feet will rely too much on GMs and my feet and ankles won't be strong!. Furthermore, I can't try GMs since they're not available in Singapore but I've heard great (and horrible) reviews about them and I really want what's best for my feet!. Bloch are more practical and I heard it's a good brand, right!? Anybody have experiences on Bloch Serenades and would care to share!?

really it totally just depends on your foot!. personally, i wouldnt go with the gaynor mindens since you wont be able to try before you order, right!? ( learned from experience ) because gaynors have so many different fitting aspects!. blochs are definitely good shoes, but again just depends on your foot!. just make sure you find someone to fit you who really knows what theyre doing ( i worked at a dancewear shop, and knowing how to fit a pointe shoe properly is KEY) so!. i guess im saying i think you should try the blochs and if they fit you, then great! but if not, you could always try the gaynors!. (p!.s ive worn grishko, chaccot, gaynor, and now ill be wearing a bloch synergy 3/4 shank)

If you get Gaynor Mindens just don't get the hardest shank unless your feet are really strong and your arch is amazing!. That is the only way GMs are bad!. Get a shank too hard and they prop you up en pointe!.
I have heard only good things about Bloch Serenades and deffinately suggest you try them!.
also, Grishko pointe shoes last very long with a hard shank (if you have them where you live)!.
Just make sure to get a professional fitting for your pointe shoes and the person fitting you will get the right shoes for you!.
