Question: Do Character Shoes have to have a metal piece for support in the middle of the shoe and rubber at the bottoms!?
I take a jazz class and we had to get 2 inch character shoes!. However I've been told that I have to get a metal bridge or something and rubber for the bottoms from my friend!. Is is neccassary!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

You will definitely want the rubber on the soles or else it will be extremely slippery!. As for the metal bridge, I've never had that, and I've done fine without it too, so I'm not sure if it's very necessary!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I know for a fact you want to get the rubber on the bottom to avoid slipping! I almost fell at a show once because I didn't get the rubber for the character heels!. I never had the metal piece, and I do fine without it!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
