Question: Do you fold over the elastic before you sew it on the pointe shoe!?
I have the bloch mesh invisible elastics, they have like a lot of little holes in them so I was thinking I should fold them over before I sew them on!. Would this make it uncomfortable to wear though!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

ok so i am asuming that you hand sew them cause if you use a sewing machine i dont really have any tips!.

you shouldnt fold it over just go inside the elastic and sew the part that isnt so clear to the shoe, you know the whitish strand, ok then sew up then sew to the left then down and accross and repeat twice or until you think it is sturdy and wont pull!. you can vary your stitching to make it sturdy such as going straight or right and left!. hope this helps!Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you insist on wearing this kind of elastic, you can burn the edges a little bit so they don't rip apart!. I wouldn't fold it over because it might make a little bulky spot on the shoe!. My suggestion is to get some elastic that most dance stores sell by the foot, it usually comes on a roll!. It is more sturdy and I bet you will prefer it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
