Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
The 6 most important jumps in ballet are:
glissade, assemble', jete', pas de chat, and sissonne!.
Without these jumps, there is no dancing!.
Other important ballet jumps include:
Grande jete' or grande saut de chat, temps leve', basic saute' such as changement and echappe', or beating jumps like entrechat quatre, or royale!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Across the floor!.!.!.
since it's just a dance class in school you probably wouldn't be doing anything too hard!.
Were they doing leaps!? In ballet, the term is Grand Jeté!.
Or there are scissor looking jumps if you caught a glimpse of your friends doing the jumps!. They are called Tour Jetés!.
Hope that helps! :DWww@QuestionHome@Com
