Question: Possible sprained ankle!? Should I attend dance workshop!?
I hurt my ankle in like july, and it didn't heel right!. There was still something wrong with the tendon, and it didn't bend properly!. Since then I have been wearing an ankle brace on that ankle well participating in physical activity!. Last night my ankle got kicked in the opposite direction my body was turning!. I was doing pump turns and so was someone else then they cam around I as I did and kicked my foot inwards!. I couldn't walk on it last night, but I can walk on it now!. It hurts the most in the back of my foot though when I walk on it!. (Like that little part where it usually hurts to touch, bellow the calf!?) I can't bend it though, maybe like a cm but it hurts!. I am signed up to go to an intensive ballet workshop for four days!. We dance 8 hours a day and get an hour lunch break!. I don't think my ankle can take this!. My mom is trying to make me go though, do you think I should just suck it up and go!?!?!? Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you dance with an injured ankle you'll damage it permanently!.

Remember sprains and strains need R!.I!.C!.E!.!.!.rest, ice, compression and elevation!.

huummm, its hard to say, it kinda depends on how bad it is sprained!. on the bright side is better then taring a ligament!! i would say go and try it out, if it really hurts, just sit out and watch the class, since just by watching u'll pick up on great things like technique, dance moves etc!.

Hope ur ankle gets better!! =)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Sounds like you need to go back and ask your doctor!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

you don't want to risk making your ankle worse, and you could possibly damage it permanently
Seeing as your already signed up for the workshop, go along and watch on the side, you'll still learn from just watching anyway and who knows, maybe within the four days your ankle will get better but you don't want to make it worse on the first day!

as for telling your mum, just tell her you don't want to risk making your ankle worse and possibly jeopardizing your dancing forever!
and plus whats four days compared to the rest of your life dancing!? (which you possibly may not be able to do if you make your ankle worse!)
