and wheres a good place to buy ballet shoesWww@QuestionHome@Com Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: good question!. in fact, it's not a question at all!. you're saying: i want to do ballet!. but i'm a guy!. i'm telling you: what's wrong with that!? why can't a guy do ballet!? it is a very unfair way to say that guys who do ballet are sissys, gays or whatever they're called!. ballet is an art!. a very beautiful art!. you have to pay a high price to be able to do it, and to be very good at it, if that's what you want!. we make many sacrifices!. some people who make ballet their career, they start from young, since they can walk, talk, and they don't stop for about 9 years until they graduate from that particular school!. and they become professionals!. like those russian ballet schools: Perm, Vaganova!.!.!. i'm not saying that is what you have to do!. but to be really good at it, you have to spend 8 hours a day, seven days a week to practise!. ballet is not easy!. but we love challenges! we want to do our best!. i'm 14 and just started ballet this year, 5 months ago!. i'm very sad to say that i might be stopping soon!. i've been thinking a lot lately!. the fees are expensive, i feel out of place with children half of my age, and i have health problems, and i have another friend with me in the same grade and she's so perfect!. and i'm feeling depressed and sad and just!.!.!. plain terrible!. so i say you go for it!. never know till you try!. you may find an adult class, if you are already an adult, in your area!. and you can get any of those clothing, tights, shoes at that studio, usually!. try!. you will fall in love with it!. i'm just unluckier to face so many obstacles!. you might not!. I'm surprised more guys don't!.!.!. just think about it, surrounded by pretty girls in leos and tights all day!. And, since there are so few male dancers, you are pretty much guaranteed good roles in ballets, and all the girls will practically fall over each other to hang out with you!.
