Hey!. Since you’re at starter on pointe I would suggest that you go to a dance shop that sells a variety of pointe shoes and try on different brands!. Let someone (person experienced with fitting pointe shoes) look at your feet and they will usually be able to determine the best type of brand that will personally suit you to reduce injury and improve the strength in your ankles and arches!. I'm glad that you have "perfect" arches, but perfect arches means little compared to having proper strength in your foot muscles!. A pointe shoe brand that suits you best will help do this!. The ones that people have suggested on here already are good, but you must get yourself fitted to a brand that fits your foot so you don't injure yourself!. For example, you said your thinking of getting Capezio's but you have to remember that brand of shoe might not sit comfortably on your foot and you may find another brand such as Gamba or Freed suits you better!.
My advice is to look around at all the different brands rather then set your heart on one particular one because done that road you might find another shoe that suits you better, and makes dancing on pointe more comfortable and long-lasting!.
Price-wise, in Australia pointe shoes usually go from $80-$150 a pair!. The better and more popular brands such as Gaynor Minden are more expensive (though I would not recommend the Gaynor Minden brand to be pointe-beginner)!. Try not to look at the prices though and let that influence your choice!. Remember, its how you feel when you dance is more important then how expensive the shoes are!.

I hope this helps! Good Luck! ;) Www@QuestionHome@Com

There are so many factors it isn't even funny!. Truly, you just need to go through trial and error!. Capezio's are a good start, but I really think you need to try maybe some Blochs or even Grishkos, just to see what they feel like!. I mean, they have *books* on how to choose a pointe shoe!.
Experimentation is your friend here!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

ABSOLUTELY go to a fitting!.
I have a verry high arch, but weak, so i always get 3/4 shanks!. By "perfect" do you mean high and strong!? If so, i wouldnt get Capezios- my friend has really strong arches and she goes through them like crazy!. I would suggest (as much as i hate them) Gaynor Mindens or a really strong Grishko or Bloch (like Bloch Serenade)!.
Happy Dancing!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I have a perfect arch, these were my first pair!

But you should really go get a fitting, you could hurt yourself if you get the wrong shoes!.
