i have been on pointe for a long long time now and i wanted to try out one of the summer programs with ABT!. i dont care which division (NY, TX, MIDWEST) i would just like to know how you apply for a 15 y/o divison and if you could also tell me specific detailss like dates, requirements pricing whatever!. they barely have info on their site so someone PLEASE give me an answer i need to know ASAP!. thank you!Www@QuestionHome@Com

i've went to abt detroit the last 2 years!. dates depend on the city you're going to!. i believe the audition fee was around $20 but i can't remember for sure!. you need a first arabesque photo (en pointe is best, but flat works too), and a letter of reccomendation from your teacher!.

For the audition you need to wear full length PINK tights, a BLACK leotard, and hair in a bun!. bring your flats + pointes!. you do a kind of fast barre, some things in the center, and a few things across the floor!. (be warned- you sometimes do the last few combos across the floor in groups of 4, and sometimes 2!.

make sure you arrive about an hour early, and fill out the registration forms and get your number!. then stretch and warm up!. relax, and be confident!!

being that you're 15, you'll probably be in the later audition!. ages 15-18 i believe!.

there is usually one teacher teaching the class, plus a pianist, plus 1 judge who walks around a lot, and 2-3 others who sit at the judges table but sometimes walk around during barre to see everyone!.

if the audition has a super lot of girls, you may do barre in 2 groups!. (we did the first year when there was around 80 girls!. the second when it was around 45, we only did barre in one group)!.

really, just be confident, calm, professional, and respectful!.

abt really has a nice summer program, and the final performance is awesome, and so much fun to be a part of!

They usually have a large ad in Dance or Pointe magazine with all of the audition dates!. Did you see this page on their site:

It gives all the requirements!. also pick up a dance mag, and look for the full page ad with audition dates and cities!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
